Education

Middletown offers a variety of educational opportunities for our youngest residents. Whether students attend schools within the Middletown City School District or at one of the private schools within our community, they are sure to receive a stellar education that will prepare them for the challenges of tomorrow.

The Middletown City School District

The District is known for meeting the needs of all children by focusing on continual curriculum improvement while providing students with instruction, and support services. To maintain a contemporary educational program, the course of study for each subject area is reviewed by a committee comprising of teachers and administrators who recommend revisions to the curriculum and modernized instructional resource material.

The educational program also includes a variety of teaching methods, instructional programs, and extracurricular activities to meet students' special needs and interests including a program designed to offer college credit while in high school, gifted and talented programs in grades 3-6, Advanced Placement® Courses, music and arts programs in grades K – 12, social justice classes, career technical courses, band and orchestra for grades 6 - 12, STEAM for grades 7 - 12, honors courses, foreign language, choir and a renowned athletics program. The Middletown City School District also offers all day kindergarten for our youngest students.
