Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, one Dayton-area city has seen an influx of new businesses opening for business.
The city of Middletown has seen over seven new businesses open their doors locally this year, ranging from food markets and boutiques to restaurants and kayak rental businesses. Chris Xeil Lyons, the city of Middletown's economic development director, credits much of this boom to the area's entrepreneurial environment.
"Entrepreneurs are looking for new locations and our city has a lot of storefront availability," she said. "Especially with Downtown Middletown Inc., the group has worked to help businesses grow locally."
