A Georgia-based manufacturer will relocate and expand its local operation with the construction of a massive facility south of Dayton. The $15 million project will create new jobs and allow the company to retain its current workforce.
Phoenix Metals is constructing a 156,000-square-foot building at MADE Industrial Park in Middletown, the city's economic development department announced Tuesday. This project will allow the metal services company to retain its current workforce of nearly 60 people and hire 20 additional employees.
Phoenix Metals has been at its current location at 1211 Hook Drive in Middletown since September 2008. With the relocation and expansion project, the company will invest $12 million to construct the new facility and another $3 million for equipment and soft costs.
